Neat'O Open Source Apps:
  • Windows Application Equivalants - This site pretty much breaks down all the applications that you use on a windows operating system, that can be done on Linux.
  • Another site comparing Windows Apps with Linux Apps
  • Qcad - Want to make a CAD Layout to the millimeter? Here's an app for you. By no means AutoCAD but, nifty if you want to tinker around with scaled design.
  • Scribus - If you like how the FOSUG flyers look check out this program. It's a lot like QuarkXpress or Adobe Pagemaker.
  • The Gimp - This is what our logo was made with... just check out the site links to see the cool things people have created with this.
  • KDE - KDE is a desktop GUI (Graphical User Interface) Windows users feel right at home with.
  • Gnome - More along the lines of a Mac, sleek, elegant, and easy to use.
